Summer in Full Swing.

This past weekend was a busy one. Saturday saw the the Cruiser team checking out Caribbean Days on the North Shore as well as the Khatsalano Music Festival on West 4th.

On Sunday the Cruiser team again stopped by at Caribbean Days and then hit the local parks and beaches including Cates Park where there was a car show. The weather was great both days.

With August 7th only a week and a half away, things are very busy for the Cruiser team making sure all the last minute details are in place for Family Day. The event is going to be great with live entertainment, face painting, amusement rides and a great food fair hosted by the Rotary Club of Lions Gate and Louis Gervais Fine Foods and Catering. Busy, Busy!!

What a great weekend it was for the Northshore Auto Mall Community Cruiser Team. The sun was out and so was the public. On Saturday the cruiser started out the day at the Sunrise Summer Kickoff where kids of all ages and their families enjoyed some street hockey and checked out the local exhibitors. From there the cruiser team headed downtown for the Vancouver International Soccer Festival. The day ended with a bang as the team cruised out to Deep Cove for the Knee Knacker Trail Run. Congrats to all who finished the grueling 30 mile trail run.

Sunday was another great day for the Cruisers. The team stopped by Jericho Beach for the MEC Paddlefest where the crowds were checking out the new craze in watersports. The team then continued the day stopping at all the beaches around Vancouver and the North Shore.

2011 Family Day preparations are well under way. Check out http://www.northshoreautomall.com/Events for more info about the great event in support of Family Services of the North Shore. Volunteers are needed for the event so if interested give the Cruiser team a call at 604-982-0370 or drop them an email at marketing@northshoreautomall.ca

Canada Day Long Weekend!

What a great long weekend it was for the Community Cruiser team. Canada Day was a very busy day on the North Shore. People lined the streets of Lonsdale for the Canada Day Parade. There were plenty of really cool floats. The Cruiser team then moved on to Waterfront Park where the Canada Day celebrations continued with carnival rides and many other fun activities. The weather was perfect, not too hot but not too cold.

Saturday was another great day in terms of weather which made for a great day out at Kits Beach. Lots of people came down to enjoy the great weather and catch a few rays. There was also a beach volleyball tournament happening which provided some great entertainment.

The Cruiser team then watched some talented athletes who took part in the Subaru Half Iron Man out at Jericho Beach. It was quite inspiring. Stops also included Cates Park and the Capilano River Regional Park, before moving on to the Corvette Show and Shine Car Show. There were lots of amazing corvettes, old and new. Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend as much as the Cruiser team did!!
